Video Submission Terms

Thank you for sharing your caregiving story with our community. Before you submit a video, please read these terms carefully. They protect you, the people in your videos, and our community.
By submitting a video, you agree to everything below.
You Must Be 18 or Older
Video submissions are open to adults only. By submitting, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
You Own What You Submit
By submitting a video, you confirm that:
You filmed the video yourself, or have full rights to share it. You are not submitting someone else’s content without their permission. The video does not contain copyrighted music, clips, or other material that you do not have the right to share.
If your video contains music playing in the background, please be aware that YouTube may mute or flag it due to copyright detection, which is outside our control.
You Give Us Permission to Publish It
By submitting your video, you grant Taking Care of Mom and Dad a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
Publish your video on our YouTube channel. Feature it on our website and mobile app. Share it on our social media pages. Edit it for length, add captions, or make minor adjustments for quality or clarity.
This license is free. We do not pay compensation for submitted videos, and you do not pay us anything.
Non-exclusive means you keep full ownership of your video. You can post it anywhere else you like.
Protect Others’ Privacy
Our community includes vulnerable people. Please be thoughtful about what appears in your video.
Do not include identifiable health, medical, or personal information about another person without their knowledge and consent. If your parent, spouse, or another person appears in your video, please make sure they are comfortable being shown publicly. Do not film anyone who has not agreed to appear in the video. Please do not include children under 18 in your submission.
We take privacy seriously. If we receive a complaint that a video violates someone’s privacy, we will remove it immediately.
We Review Everything First
No video goes live without our review. We watch every submission before deciding whether to publish it. We may choose not to publish a video for any reason, and we are not required to explain why.
Submitting a video does not guarantee it will be published.
We Can Remove Videos
We reserve the right to remove any published video at any time, for any reason, including if we receive a privacy complaint, if the content no longer fits our community standards, or if we simply decide to update our content.
If you would like your published video removed, contact us at [your contact email] and we will remove it promptly.
What We Do With Your Information
When you submit a video, we temporarily store the video file on our secure server for review. If we do not publish it, the file is deleted within 7 days. We do not store your name or contact information unless you choose to provide it for credit purposes.

Content Standards
We are a caregiving community. All submitted videos must be:
Respectful and appropriate for a general adult audience. Related to caregiving, aging, family, or topics relevant to our community. Free from hate speech, discrimination, explicit content, or anything that could harm or demean another person.
We do not publish submitted videos that contain political content, religious advocacy, or promotional content for commercial products or services.
Credit
If you would like to be credited when your video is published, you may provide a display name during submission (for example, “Submitted by Maria, caregiver daughter”). This is completely optional. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we will not identify you.
