This site and app may display video content embedded from TikTok. Video Likes and Content Preferences

User-Submitted Videos

If you choose to submit a video through our app, we collect and handle your content as follows: Your video file is temporarily stored on our secure server for review. If we do not publish your video, the file is permanently deleted within 7 days. If we publish your video, it will be hosted on our YouTube channel and may appear on our website and app. We do not collect your name or contact information as part of the submission process unless you voluntarily provide a display name for credit purposes. By submitting a video you agree to our Video Submission Terms at takingcareofmomanddad.org/submission-terms/

If your submitted video is selected for publication, it will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and may be embedded on our website and app. You retain full ownership of your content.

Anonymous Device Identifier
We generate a random identifier (UUID) for your device the first time you use the video feed. This identifier is stored locally on your device and is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. It is used solely to remember which videos you have liked across sessions.

Video Likes
When you tap the heart button on a video, we record which video you liked along with your anonymous device identifier and the video’s content categories. This information is used to:
• Display like counts on videos so all users can see which content is popular
• Improve the variety and relevance of videos shown to you in future sessions

What We Do Not Collect
• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information through the likes system
• We do not link your likes to any account or identity
• We do not sell or share your likes data with third parties
• We do not use your likes data for advertising purposes

Data Retention
Anonymous like data is stored on our secure WordPress server hosted by Hostinger. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at [your contact email] and providing your device UUID, which can be found in your device’s local storage under the key “tcmd_device_uuid”.
